Refugees in Jordan
Only 15% of refugees live in camps, whereas 85% have to find and rent their own accommodation.
Most are in Amman, and many are in desperate need.
What we do
Coming Alongside Refugees in Jordan
We provide food, clothing, toys, heaters and blankets. This builds friendships that heal, restoring dignity & hope.
A mobile medical clinic in Amman provides primary health care, often with volunteer medical teams.

Education and skills training enable refugees to support themselves and their families.
Transformational Community Development
The House of Ruth

The House of Ruth
The House of Ruth is our multipurpose community centre in Madaba in the ancient land of Moab.
The centre provides training as well as medical care for an area with seven nearby villages.
This is a rural area that has no working hospital and no income-producing business.
Many of the younger people are leaving the area in order to find a way out of poverty. There is a large Palestinian refugee camp in this area as well as Syrians and Iraqis.
Our goat loan project is an important part of empowering people in agriculture and food production.
Education & Skills Training
The House of Ruth has become a busy centre for the local community and for refugees in large nearby settlements, providing education, skills training.
We train people in handicrafts, small-business development for income generation, health and wellness lessons, computer literacy & English.
Women in the village can learn sewing skills, jewellery making & mosaics.
Young people & children receive English & computer literacy lessons.
Medical Care
The House of Ruth has medical & dental clinics.
Health practitioners provide primary health care & health education.
Currently, the medical clinic serves approximately 2,400 patients, & the dental clinic about 500.
