Exactly 13 years ago this month Cyclone Nargis devastated the country of Myanmar (Burma), bringing massive loss of life.

Our work in the country began then in 2008, and we initially helped by providing materials for a new home for some of the 1000s of children orphaned by the cyclone.
Since then, our work has spread to villages elsewhere in Myanmar, notably in Rakhine State, where the response has been very positive.

However, as you will know, the last 3 months have seen the country in crisis once again, this time from the military and its harsh clampdown on civil unrest.
To give us all a fuller picture of what’s going on there and how our work with villages has been impacted, we’re holding a webinar by Zoom with our staff on the ground.

It promises to be a very interesting and informative time.

You are all warmly invited to join us and we very much hope you will be able to do so.
