Volunteer where you are
Our volunteers make a difference where they are – admin support, assisting with report editing, grant research/writing, graphic design, data organizing & other research.
Contact us if you have particular skills in areas or you would simply like to help people and hear how you can be part of making a difference for the world’s poorest people.
Short-Term Team trips provide unique opportunities for participants to see our field programmes for themselves.
The trips are led by GHNI staff and usually last from 7-12 days. They aim to give participants first-hand experience of the challenges of global poverty and development and if possible to make contributions of their own.
In recent years, we have organized trips to Jordan and Lebanon, where participants have taken part in visits to refugee families, bringing food parcels and other essentials.
Participants have also been able to help run sewing classes in skills training centres and to help with medical care.
Costs vary by location but are normally between £100 – £150 per day plus airfare. Food, lodging, and other trip costs are all included. Participants must be 18 or older by date of departure.
Short-term trips are managed by our US office and more information is available at: globalhopenetwork.org/trip-schedule .
From time-to-time, qualified individuals have been able to spend several months on location. For example, doctors, dentists, nurses, English teachers (with TEFL or TESOL training).
